Sound won't work

Hello, I just recently installed Mandriva on my computer, and today when I started it up, the sound wouldn't work. It worked fine before. There is a red X by the Volume Control icon. and when I click on it I get this message:

No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found.

So I opened up the Control Center and I installed all the GStreamer plugins there were, but it still doesn't work.

Any help is appreciated.

i think ur sound card wan`t detected while installation......
no prob! use any one, sndconfig or alsaconf (i recom alsa)
if prob not fixed ...explain me wat kind of card do u use isa pci chipset...
instead gooogle net u`ll find lot of tips tricks
