I try to play an audio cd /dev/sr0 but do not have read/write permission to it even though I own it! Sure I can chmod it but it resets every time, Is there any way to fix this? My DVD-RAM drive also maxes out at 1X read/write speed is there any fix?


Edit: Okay I fixed the permissions to the deice by upgrading my kernel. But all I/O is still at 1x. Please help.
