    i want to ask some questions
    i installed real player in mandriva 2007 and it playing sound file only why?
    does it need a codec to play all sound and vedio file ?
    and what is the name of this codec?

    i have a problem in playing arabic subtitle and i don't know what i should do ?

    My first question is why did you install Realplayer?

    I cannot fully understand your question.

    Have you tried typing this command as root user

    urpmi win32codecs

    Make sure that you have your repositories setup correctly

    RealPlayer on Linux does not play all video files. You may have to install an app like Kaffeine or Totem together with the win32-codecs package.
