    Help with installing Mandriva

    Ok, so here's the deal:
I'm running windows xp right now, and want to install mandriva to the backup d drive, and have the option to boot either os at start up. I also have all the setup files on a cd-r. I don't know much about Linux or how to partition the drives, and was hoping someone could walk me through how to do this. Thanks!

if you want to install Mandriva in D: drive then backup data from D: drive and delete D: drive through Windows Disk Management Tool.
start Mandriva Installation and select 'unpartitioned/free' space in partition section during installation. Dual Boot is default. Mandriva will install its Boot Loader and you will have choice to boot either OS at startup.
