No sound mandriva 2007
at first there werent any errors but i tried some fixes i read at some other forums and now when i click the sound icon on my taskbar or whatever its called and arror message pops up saying "No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found." ive installed ALSA and some other one i read about, but ALSA is the most recent. And i havent uninstalled any if i needed to.
Any suggestions or known fixes?
IDK how to check what cards i have so if you can tell me how i'll tell you what i have

What have you tried? Have you tried alsaconf?

yeah, well i think i have, i downloaded three files when i downloaded alsa, and "./configure" "make" and "make install"ed them all. And thats what i have installed right now, however its saying i dont have a sound card >.>
