Installing mandriva on an old computer
Okay, I want to install mandriva on an old compaq presario 1625. The only problem is that I can't even get on the old os, windows xp, because I installed it from a recovery disc and now it wants me to register it before I can use it. I also don't know how to access the boot menu. So...
Does anyone know how to install Mandriva and get rid of the old OS with nothing more than an installation disc?

if you want to remove Windows and install Mandriva only, just boot from Mandriva Installation CD/DVD, delete all partition in 'Partition Section' and install Mandriva.
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
