"DVD writing failed", cannot put mandriva 2007 free on a DVD

I just downloaded "mandriva-free-2007.1-loolapop-DVD(2)". When I click on the icon it opens up a nero DVDROM burning page and i click burn. But when it finishes it says it failed and when i click on the CD drive in my computer it has nothing on the CD (basically the DVD is screwed and unusable).

I have done this twice and all im left with is two completely useless DVD's.

What am i doing wrong?!!

P.S. im using windows XP pro and want to put linux on my spare hard drive

You need to use a dvd burner to burn a DVD image
You also need to put a DVD in the DVD burner!
If that doesn't work try using a trial of alcochol 120% to burn the image
If that doesn't work download the image again!
PS alcochol 120% works way better then nero!
