    Red face

Almost done! Only 3hrs to go. Then i'll burn the image and try to install it. Fingers crossed, third time lucky.

P.S. if this doesn't work i'll probably give up on linux all together.

Make sure to check the MD5sum of the iso.

Another problem: it keeps getting to the end of partitioning then it comes up about some error saying it cannot mount it, or something like that.

    Any ideas?

Why not just try a LiveCD first and see if you like it ? Mandriva One is just that.

Is there any way you can try a different ROM drive?
