Mandriva 2007 Configure my computer problem
Folks,
As a novice linux user I think I've inadvertently removed the Configure my
computer stuff.
Is there any SIMPLE way or recovering/reinstalling it?
I've tried the update install but that didn't do it and I haven't a clue
how what to do in way of installing using a console and anyhow I don't
know where to look for the programs or what they're called.
Any help will be appreciated

one Old time Win user to another...
"Bob, what the hell are you talking about?!?!"
hehe...
just kidding.
what exactly do you mean that you've removed the "configure my computer stuff"?
lets get some basics first.
what distro are you using?(Mandriva One, Mandriva Free 2007.X...etc...)[this helps greatly]
as far as trying to figure out how the filesystem works...well.
if you add a drive, it is still a part of home...depending on how you set it up.
I would definately recommend The Linux Bible for anyone new to the waters of L!
you could also try looking online for "HOWTO {your problem}"
most linux users rely on these HOWTO's as a good read.
hope this helps.
