does Mandriva has separate /boot partition?
hmm... try adding /boot before kernel and initrd lines.
    Code:
title Mandriva 2006 with 2.6.20 kernel (on /dev/hda1)
    root (hd0,1)
    kernel (hd0,4)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20 root=/dev/hda1 resume=/dev/hda6
    initrd (hd0,4)/boot/initrd-2.6.20
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I tried to add /boot , and didn't work then tried /boot/grub/ but no work.
