    Arrow vlc player for mandriva 2007: HELP!!

    i have just installed mandriva linux ... i wanna figure out how to insall the vlc player... i have got the sources in tar.gz format but it says i need ffmpeg codec. how to install that?

    well i tried to find an rpm source but could not find any. on vlc's site i read that i needed to 'add some source' to some software manager. can someone tell me whats that????

    and once i get ffmpeg codec, how can i compile the source code that i have?
