I have been trying to install the DVD version of Mandravia 2007. I can get to the first screen after I boot my system from the DVD, giving you the options (Install, boot from Hard Disk ect). I have played around with the settings but even so, when I try to start the install, all I get is a blank black screen.
I tried booting the CD version off the disk and got the same problem, however when the apci is set to apci=ht, it progresses to the splash screen and boots just fine. I have tried typing apci=ht into the (what I believe is called) command line, but it does nothing. In the CD version the apci setting is attached to a function button (F5 i believe), however not on the DVD version. How do I enter this and indeed is there anything else I can try?
