if it is the same as my SuSE 9.1 system, go into /boot/grub (if you use grub)
in the menu.lst file there should be a linux option.
In this option, there should be a line similar to:
kernel (hd0,5)/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda5 vga=0x31a splash=silent desktop resume=/dev/hda7 showopts
see the splash=silent? Change that to splash=verbose. and then reboot, and should do it for you."I am not an alcoholic, alcoholics go to meetings"

Mandrake uses lilo as it's default boot loader, but the option for bootsplash is still the same. After you edit, make sure to run the command
To save the changes.Code:lilo -v
Good Luck!
