Mandriva 2007 + suse 10.2 + Xp
Hi everybody,
I am presently using suse 10.2 dual boot with XP (gotta use it due to certain work software).
Wot I want to know is if I install Mandriva as a 3rd system will it keep the other 2 in the grub loader as I have tried this before with ubuntu and lost access to everything else, nothing I did would restore them to grub and I had to do a clean install.

other option is, install GRUB in boot sector of / (root) partition during Mandriva Installation and add chainloading code in menu.lst file of SuSe.
i assume that you are going to install Mandriva in hda7.
add this code in menu.lst file of SuSe
save file. start Mandriva installation and select boot sector of hda7 (/dev/hda7) for GRUB in Boot Loader section during installation.Code:title Mandriva rootnoverify (hd0,6) chainloader +1
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
