Need the prefix
When I need to access my netgear router I need to type in the full address: http://192.168.0.1 - if I leave out the http most modern browsers will try to google the ip address.

Have opened up a terminal and typed in: ping 192.168.0.1 and this is the reply i got.
[Colin@www ~]s ping 192.168.0.1
connect: Network is unreachable
[Colin@www ~]s
Now a mate of mine had earlier tried and failed to configure the router and has apparently typed in the wrong URL for my ISP. How do i get rid of that entry?
Could i reset the router back to factory settings?
Shall definately give your suggestion a go and thanks SeanGee
