    Question Installing pidgin

This is what happens when i simply copy and paste the instructions from the pidgin howto file:

    checking for GTK... no
    no
    configure: error:

You must have the GTK+ 2.0 development headers installed to compile Pidgin.
If you only want to build Finch then specify --disable-gtkui when running configure.

    [root@localhost pidgin-2.0.1]# `make'
    >
    > `make check'
    > `make install'
    >
    What is wrong here?

P.S. this is just the bottom part

Well, do you have the GTK development headers installed?

The package is probably called something like libgtk2.0-dev.

Thank you, that did the trick.
