Mandrive One
Earlier this year I installed Mandriva One on a 32 bit system. Shortly thereafter the hardware failed. I changed the mother board and processor to a 64 bit system. Both the old processor and new were AMD.
The changout seemed o.k. until I tried to download updates using the Media Manager. No matter if I changed the download sources the downloads would fail.
Often I would get the message:
"Unable to add medium, errors reported.
It's impossible to retrieve the list of new packages from the media 'update source". Either the update media is mis-configured, and in this case you should use the Software Media Manager to remove it and re-add it in order to reconfigure it, either it is currently unreachable and you should retry latter".
I did the above with the same failure. I even went so far as to reformat the hard drive and reinstall Mandriva One which resulted in the exact same failure.
Could the copy of Mandrive One that I have be for a 32 bit system and have problems when installed on a 64 bit system?
There is nothing else on this hard drive or system.

I would go into the MCC-Add media(I think, I'm at work) and eliminate and source listed, Go here: Urpmi Online Media Setup
and follow those instructions.
I too have the 32-bit installed on a 64-bit system with no problems.
