Superkaramba install problems
I wanted to install superkaramba to start playing around with different themes. Got to the file unzipped and go to the configure step and got this error code during the configure:
checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!
After some Google work, I found out I needed to install some file called: kdelibs-devel RPM. After downlaoding several versions of this and getting errors on every one, I then tried to usurp the whole process and just use the urpmi -i command, and that didn't work either. I finally gave up after that try.
What do I have to do to get this done? What's the proper kdelibs-devel RPM I need to download, and where can I get it?
Thanks for your help. . .

What version of KDE are you running. SuperKaramba is already installed by default in version 3.5.x and later, I think it is.
Go to menu / utilities / superkarambaoz

I'm running 3.5.4 but can't seem to find it in the utilities menu.
- 07-22-2007 #4SuperKaramba is not pre-installed in KDE 3.5.4. kdelibs-devel is available in Installation CD/DVD.I'm running 3.5.4 but can't seem to find it in the utilities menu.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thanks, Casper... I wasn't sure where in there it started coming installed by default.
If you know and for future reference, was it in version 3.5.5?oz
- 07-22-2007 #6You are right. SuperKaramba is pre-installed in 3.5.5.

I have Mandriva DVD only.
Install it through Software Manager. It will automatically detect CD number and ask you to insert that.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

On most distros, Superkaramba is shipped as part of the kdeutils package. On Mandriva, you need to install kdeutils-superkaramba using the software manager (urpmi or rpmdrake depending on your preference).

Okay, so I found the RPM, went to download it and install it and got this message:
Incompatible architecture for rpm [/home/rogerdodger/tmp/kdeutils-superkaramba-3.5.4-7mdv2007.0.sparc.rpm]
and then got this error:
error registering local packages
Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmpppppppphhhhhhhh!
