    ok well i downloaded mandriva one ran the live cd then installed it and when i turned on my computer it was trying to set up my wireless network. then it said to use the windows wrapper or something and then there was another option which was my wireless card. but i couldn't get either one to work. please help me.

    It probably meant NDISWrapper.
    See this link to identify your chipset, and install NDISWrapper, but check Mandriva first, it may already have it installed.
