    requirements for installing mandriva


    is it possible to install this distro on a 10 gig drive i've been trying to install it and i always get an error when it comes to partitioning is the drive to small

    Hey,
    What errors you are getting while partitioning? post them. Which version on mandriva you are trying to install? what is the onboard Ram that you have?
    You dont require that much (10 gb) space for mandrake.
    On your HDD, you'll need about 2-4GB for your / (root) filesystem (depends on how much clutter you want to install - Do you want Gnome and KDE? - Probably the answer is Yes as you'll want to try them both out), and the size of your /home will depend on what personal files you want to keep there.

    Boot up from any LiveCD and execute 'fdisk -l' command. Post output here.
