How to get enough space for appz?
Hi all,
I have a problem with Mandriva One 2007. I have to install a software that requires more than 4 GB of free space in /opt/<destination folder>. I thought to have enough space because I have a hard drive of about 160GB partitioned as follow:
/ --> ~5.8 GB --> ext3
Swap --> ~1 GB --> Swap FS
/home--> ~148 GB --> ext3
Unfortunately, the install script fails because it finds only little more than 1 GB free...
How can I increase the space of the root partition, for example by taking it from the home, keeping me safe from loosing any data and from a complete reinstallation of the whole OS?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Take a look at the Parted Magic LiveCD:
Parted Magic
It's Partition Magic clone, and is a great tool for working with partitions.oz
