Cd Ripper?

Hi
I wanted to know if there are any good cd rippers out there for mandrake linux?
I found one called Grip but aperently it doesn't work on KDE.

KAudioCreator is a good IMHO.

I've never had any trouble with Grip in KDE. It works very well. KAudioCreator is good, although a bit slow in my experience.
If you did a default install, KAudioCreator should be on your system. It isn't a stand-alone app. It's integrated in to Konqueror.

me too!what do you mean that it didn't work?do you got some error messages?

I know I'm doing something wrong.
I downloaded the tar.gz file from the grip website.
then I used the command line to extract the file (tar -zxvf grip-3.0.7.tar.gz)
Now when I use ./configure it gives me this message:

I am very new to this so please dumb it down a bit.

Nikosapi, with Mandrake you add progs from the Package manager in the Mandrake Control Centre. It will sort all the dependencies for you. Have you set your sources up? Do a search for easyurpmi and follow the instructions. Then install grip or whatever using the package manager.

Audacity seems to be good, though i haven't been able to install it. A few things have gone wrong, but i've heard really good things about it.

Audacity is a very good prog. Tis not a ripper though.
