I was wondering if any one here knew of a good data recovery program, that is easy to use.
I had source code to a game I was working on stored in my laptop which was running XP at the time. But then I switched to Linux.
The data has been gone for years now but I haven't used the laptop in years either, so I was hoping there might be a chance to still retrieve it?
Is there any program that is as easy as just searching for a particular file extension that has been deleted?
Anyone with any insight on this subject please let me know.
foremost comes to my mind,
I have tried a tool called ext3carve -it's old and most dangerous one , i won't recommend it anyone (atleast untill i fix the bug and release the next version)
