error installation linuxthread

hi,
I am trying to install glibc-linuxthreads-2.3.2.tar.bz2,but with the make this
is the error:
Makefile:70: ../Makeconfig: No such file or directory
Makefile:106: ../Rules: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `../Rules'. Stop
plz help me how i can install it.

Did you run the ./configure file?

Thanks for reply ,yes i first run the ./configure then i run the make.
