Help a noob: Fatal Exception on boot
I've had Red Hat 9 running on my PC, but I reformatted my hard drive and am currently running XP Pro. I wanted to try linux again, so I tried to install Mandrake 10.1. It installs fine, but when I try to boot I get the following message after a bunch of code scrolls thru:
Kernal panic: fatal exception in interrupt
in interrupt handler - not syncing
I've tried re-downloading, re-burning and re-installing many times, but I can't get passed this error no matter what I do. I've tried booting probably about 20 times. Has anyone seen this error before, and if so, how can I get around this error? If it matters, im on a Dell Dimension 2350, BIOS revision A02.
