language !! !! !!

my folder's names that have arabic language appears as <????>

can i find a solution ?

or changing my nationality easier ? :mrgreen:

but i dont now how to chage my folder's name ?

i am not getting it.... what about right click --> rename OR 'mv' command in terminal ?

when i rename it ,
it dosnot accept the new name.

whats the error message ? if its permission problem then you must own that folder or log in as root.

could not rename file /mint/windows/islamics/????.

try to force it...

mv -f ???? new_name

is it on windows partition ? you can't write in NTFS...

it is windows partition put fat32.

and when i try to write arabic in konsol e it gives me ????

and refuse by :

mv: cannot move `????' to a subdirectory of itself, `???'

and the same thing in the non windows partition .

the amazing thing that i can write arabic in notes application !

you installed araboc fonts to konsole or just to KDE?
