well i have installed mandriva 2008.0 on my box everything is good except after i did the update my dvd/cd drives wont show up when i try to mount them it says it can only be done with hale,any kind of help would be good ..thanks

Hi - I don't understand what you mean by 'hale'. What make are your CD drives?
Maybe he talked about the "HAL" ?
I bet you're right! My guess would be, his distro is incomplete. Only a guess though... I've noticed that distros which are downloaded for - let's say - a CD can be a bit too basic. Just a brief idea.Quote:
