Newbie trying to get the internet

Hello,

I am new to linux and installed 2007 spring yesterday. It seems to have installed okay but I have no clue how to connect to the internet. Can someone point me in the right direction. Please give detailed explanation as I am totally new to this type of operating system.

How are you connected to the internet? Dial-up or broadband; External router via network cable or USB modem?

I have wireless broadband.
