Online Update problems
After installing Mandriva 2006, I paid for Mandriva Online updates so I could get updates automatically, in much the same way as Windows XP's "Automatic Updates" applet. However, when I open the applet and click "install updates" (and enter the root password) I get a message saying that there aren't any updates available, even though the applet reported that there are (as I would expect for a newly installed distro).
What is going on and how do I fix this?
Thanks in advance.
I don't use that service, so I have no perfect answer. It could be that the mirror simply reports that there are general updates available and that once you connect to the mirror, it checks if there are also updates available for your specific machine/set-up. As you do not have every available package installed on your system, this could be a possible answer, but if I were you, I would ask at the official Mandrivaforum. You don't have to be a club-member for asking questions there.
