Problems with fan, battery and 3D card
Hi everyone, first I wish to apologize for my english but I'm Italian.
I'm trying to run Mandrake 10.1 official on my laptop. I've an Acer Aspire 2023WLMi an here is its configuration:
Intel Pentium Centrino 1,6GHZ, 400MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache
Intel 855GME chipset
Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG(802.11 b/g WLAN)
15.4" WXGA TFT LCD
60GB Ultra DMA-100 HDD
DVD Super Multi Drive
512MB DDR SDRAM
ATI Radeon Mobility 9700 128 MB dedicated
I'm facing several problems and here they are:
1) The fan is always up working at full rithm even when not needed. I said "not needed" because both Fedora and WindowsXp make the fan work properly so I quess that keeping it always up isn't the right way to manage it. ACPI is up a but it doesn't seem to help.
2) The battery status on start up is always "92% charged" even when the pc is connected to the power line and battery fully charged. Usually I've to restart the battery controller and everything goes fine
3) Has anyone an idea about how to make the 3D card work? I can't find the drivers anywhere!
Please help me, I hate windows and I don't want to use it anymore!!!
