Unable to unmount...
Being (fairly) new to the world of Linux, I'm looking to make my /home partition a bit smaller, and my / partition a bit bigger. So, of course, I tried to unmount /home first. It gives me an error saying, that the partition in in use. The guide says you have to log out on all users except root, but I don't know exactly how to do that. :?
I'm on Mdk 10.0.
You can not have Linux running while trying to change partitions. You can't do that on Windows either (partitioning programs will reboot to effectuate changes). So you need to use Knoppix, then the HD is not used, and you can change the partitions on your hd. I don't recommend resizing though - you should create new partitions.
Ah, I will try downloading Knoppix then.
However, my reason for resizing is that my HDD is pretty much filled up (I'm on an old computer).
