x86_64 download ?
i'm trying to download mandriva 2008 for my athlon64.
on the mandriva.com website, when i try to download, it offers the i586 version.
Where can i find the x86_64 one ???
and another thing, what is given in the dvd version and not in the cd version ?
Not sure where to find it. I see on this page that they have the 64bit version of 2008-free, but not 2008-one available. Maybe someone will reply that knows where to find it.
thanks for replying.
i tried to download the dvd version, but it was downloading at 70kb/s!
so i stoped it.
i found this website Mandriva Linux download for Linux - Softpedia
downloading at reseanable speed.
But also i was trying to find 2007 version or 2006 version of mandriva, but i caaaaaaaaaaaaaant! it's frustrating me.
I would suggest you to install 32bit version only even if you have 64bit machine. Check this link.
This mirror has the 64 bit version.
Thank you for the links.
Actually, i installed ubuntu, works great.
still I dont understand why the x86_64 version is given as a dvd iso ? no cd isos there ?
and also what's the difference between a dvd version and a cd version ?
DVD versions usually have more application packages included, and they include the source files.
