Question Add Panel Shadows Without 3D acceleration

I am trying to add a shadow to the panels on my desktop. I have 2 computers with Mepis KDE versions on them. 1 of them has graphics card so I can run Emerald which allows for shadows around the borders of panels. But on my other computer I don't have a graphics card or Emerald but I still want the shadow effects. I went to Window Behavior and Translucency/shadows but it only adds shadows to windows. Is there a way to configure the effect for panels or can I Install software to do that?

Here are some pictures of both desktops just in case. Thanks!
WITH shadows

WITHOUT shadows

Also, it may be a long shot, but is there a way to add the scale and expo feature without 3d acceleration?
