Having package installation issues

I'm not really sure if this is a Mepis-specific question, but Is there a way to review recently installed deb packages? I use both Synaptic Package Manager and Kpackage, this time I goofed w/ Kpackage. I installed 4 or 5 new packages that looked useful and bam! Now my mounted ipod isn't recognized by Amarok or Gtkpod. I get a msg that says no mounted ipod detected, when right there on the taskbar I see the mounted device icon. Apparently I was too stupid to write down what I was installing, and I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas besides identifying the devil package and uninstalling. Thank you.
