USB wireless internet problem

Quiff14 Just Joined! Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 2	USB wireless internet problem Hi im completely new to linux and mepis itself. Whilst i do prefer it to other OS, im having difficulties installing the driver for my USB wireless card. Its a Thomson Speedtouch USB device, does anyone have any help they could offer?

You can do this by starting a terminal (kmenu -> system -> terminal -> terminal) and entering the command Code: /sbin/lspci \| grep -i net Post back the output.

You might get it by just entering lspci and looking for a line similar to this

02:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 03)

(all after 'controller:'is my card)

If possible, post it here. Also. is there any other info on the device itself? Like model and version number? That will help determine what chipset you have. JPgirl Just Joined! Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 16	I am having the same problem with a dlink usb wireless adapter wua-1340 Worked perfect on puppy with nothing to configure but I want to try mepis and I can't get the thing to come up. Totally new to Linux as well!
