MIDI Support in MEPIS 7.0

I'm running a Dell Latitude D610 and I have all sound support except MIDI. Of course, I didn't notice until I tried to utilize KGuitar for tablature. Here's the hardware: Intel 82801...

$ lspci | grep -i audio
00:1e.2 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 03)
$ lsmod | grep -i snd
snd_intel8x0 27932 1
snd_intel8x0m 14092 1
snd_ac97_codec 90788 2 snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m
ac97_bus 3072 1 snd_ac97_codec
snd_pcm_oss 34976 0
snd_mixer_oss 14592 1 snd_pcm_oss
snd_pcm 62084 4 snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_ oss
snd_timer 17668 1 snd_pcm
snd 41316 11 snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_ oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer
soundcore 6880 1 snd
snd_page_alloc 8328 3 snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m,snd_pcm

In the KInfoCenter, it states "MIDI devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG"
The KDE Control Module does not have a MIDI device listed nor a mapper.

Any idea what's missing?
