new to linux

I am the new guy rather than show what i do not know i will ask only the most important question.I plan to run Mepis on a rebuilt pc then rebuild as i go an can purchase better parts the Mepis pc is not my primary system.My Question is has anyone else done this.

Hello and Welcome!

If you're asking if anybody has upgraded a box after installing an OS... you better believe it! Only thing you might have an issue with is when you pop in a different wireless or gfx card. Driver wise anyway

The best i got was two old pc nobody wanted them read up on it an am going to make them one big machine.I know i will have to drop in new hardware but i can take my time.I have apc me an the wife use it runs vista an all but i want my own rig tooled by me for me an mine.
