Did the printer seem to install properly? Any error messages?
Not sure why it's not working, but you might want to try rebooting so that CUPS restarts, any new devices ...

Not sure why it's not working, but you might want to try rebooting so that CUPS restarts, any new devices are found, and then try your printer again.
Just curious, does the printer have a USB connection?oz

I've got to hit the sack and get up early, but hopefully the reboot will get you going. If not, you might need to go through the setup again and possibly look at a different driver.
