Cant boot Linux Mint 6
I just installed linux mint 6 onto my computer from a cd, and now when i try to boot it up, it just shows the green bar going across the screen and then brings me to a black screen with the sentence, "Type "help" for a list of commands" or something like that.
PLEASE help me I have been through too much trouble to just trash Mint...

Linux Mint sends you to initrd shell for troubleshooting.
Dont just post the last line
Read the 10 like above that. you can find the error or problem.
Most of the time it is " unable to mount root '/' "
Tell what error you are getting.

Post last 5-6 lines of error message and post the output of fdisk -l command ( first column only ).
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
