    [SOLVED] Just a quickie question in Mint 9

    Hello all, Can anyone tell me please how to change the root password in Mint 9??
    Any help would greatly be appreciated

    You want a real root password? Root account is disabled by default in Ubuntu/Mint.

    Basic command is passwd.

    Usage is just
    passwd <user>
    Root would be
    sudo passwd root
