ALL media players fail ?
using mint 8 kde, and now can't play a audio c.d on any of the media players, I always like using gnome player, but it gives just says " error can't read media" VLC also give the same error. where do i start to run this problem down ?

yes, well it says it's up to date any how, I manually do the updates about once a week. I've been using 8 now for 5 months, I can't re3ally recall exactly when this problem started because i don't play c.d's or d.v.d's much on this comp. I thought it might be a codec issue, but I did " all" in synaptics and it seems to have downloaded them...I'm puzzled.

What kind of CD's are they? CDr?? CDRW? Retail music CD's?
