    gigabyte m68mt-d3 no sound


    how do i start to troubleshoot sound problems? the OS reports nvidia mcp61 high definition audio device. gigabyte website says i have a realtek Realtek ALC888B. i guess this means on of the two is wrong. if i run this command in the terminal i get realtel alc887. im lost

    i feel stupid but i found what was wrong my user account did not have permission for the audio. so now i have sound. Thank You
