    i downloaded a madwifi adaptor

    i downloaded a madwifi adaptor it is in getit but i dont know what to do with it or if it will help, i think my card is not compatable without it but i am at a loss and in over my head,please help.

    It's ifconfig, you put iconfig.

    The madwifi drivers are deprecated. That might be an option to try, but ath5k ought to work.

    Possibly needs sudo

    Possibly needs to be loaded, as I looked and didn't see the module

    i tried this but lost my comandline

    $ sudo modprobe rfkill

    list [IDENTIFIER]
    block IDENTIFIER

    sudo rfkill unblock all
    Then see if there is an error with
    Code:
    sudo ifconfig wlan0 up
    sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
