Help with wireless d-link wua-2340

i have trying to figure this out for 2 days. i have a d-link wua-2340 (got it for free). any time i launch ndiswrapper in gtk none of the icons show and i cant install the driver. please help i know this wont be my only issue but this one will get me on the right path

I also purchased a new pci ENCORE ENLWI-NX to replace the crappy dlink usb

Please let me know what other lines to run. I would really like to know the issue with my computer. im hoping its just a cheap incompatible chipset in the d-link. but that still dosent explain why my ndiswrapper wont work or show anyting besides the blank window.

it might be crashing my usb drivers because my thumb drive works before i plug in the wifi adapter then my front usb ports wont work.

The package isn't called ndiswrapper, hence the not found.

However, lsusb failing is a different and larger issue. I'm not really sure how to proceed on that front. What version of Mint are you using?

i am using mint 10 (julia). i wish i knew how to figure out how to figure out whats wrong by myself but im a linux amateur in my standards...

Well the pci wireless n card works perfectly with mint. its a encore n300.
