Broken packages!!
Hi all..
I am very much a nooblet here and with Linux. But I fancied a change from boring old windows. So I managed to successfully install and update /add packages to and enjoy customizing Linux mint 10 KDE. All was well. Until I decided to re install a skeleton copy of win7 along side Linux as a dual boot. So after deleting the grub file and getting stuck a lot I nuked the drive and started again. All is well apart from my mint distro is now asking me to fix broken packages before it can install any updates. So synaptic manage only to find nothing out of place and to add I haven’t actually added anything yet apart from the attempt at updating.
Sorry for the war and peace. Any help would be appreciated.Last edited by kennybobs; 07-16-2011 at 06:47 PM.

Try running the following commands from the terminal
If you get an error from any of the commands, STOP and please post the full error text here.Code:sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get -f install sudo apt-get upgrade

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
