Newbie question on Startup
On Start up I get all my external drives 6 in total, all my thumb drives and camera connection show up as separate folders filling my screen, I have to close them all manually to actually see my desktop could some one tell me how to stop this.

Bump, I guess no one knows how I can stop getting all my portable and flash drives from showing up as windows on startup, I really hate having to close all these windows 8 or 9 in all.

Well it will depend on which desktop environment you are using. For example in Mint XFCE, you go to Control Center -> Removable Drives and Media and untick Browse removable media when inserted. I would assume that it would be somewhere similar in the other versions.

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
