Menu Bar?
I installed Mint Xfce on a separate hard drive but when I boot into it. the is no menu bar why, also I cannot find the control center where are these things?

It's at the bottom normally. If it's not there right click on the desktop and you can get at the menu that way. Go to Applications -> Settings -> Settings Manager and then click on Panel. Click on the + sign to add a panel and set it where you want. We can then add the items you want / need to it.
If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)

I un-installed XFCE, I installed Mint 11 in its place, as XFCE could not find one of my network printers and mint 11 could. I now have a quadruple boot machine w7 64 bit, vista 32 bit, Ubuntu using wubi installer to run along side w7, and Linux mint 11 on a separate internal hard drive.
Now if I could figure out how to stop removable drives appearing as windows pop-ups at start-up. There is no re-movable drive item as far as I can find in control centre unless it goes by another name. Standard edition is probably in Nautilus (File Manager) -> Edit -> Preferences -> Media
