Mint 12 menu editing
I've moved from Mint 10 to 12 and am starting to get used to most of it but I'd like to edit the menu as I have in the past. However I can't seem to find a way to do so. This Gnome is different and I accept that (grudgingly) but some things are hard to find in Mint itself as well as on-line.

The Gnome menu editor "alacarte" doesn't appear to be installed by default in Mint 12. Look for it in the package manager or. from the command line:
Code:sudo apt-get install alacarte

Mint 12 menu editing
That was it! Thanks for the help. I went thru the same thing when looking for screensavers. Had to install them with apt. Thanks again.
