Tightvnc/RDC on Mint 12
I installed Tightvnc, and in Synaptic it shows to be installed, but I can't figure out how to run it. I can't locate it anywhere under Menu > Applications area.
Secondly I installed Vinagre, and now show the Remote Desktop Viewer under Applications > Internet, but there is no options to configure as a host.
I was able to run Tightvnc on my Win7 machine, and control from the Mint's RDC viewer, however I am trying to get it the other way around where Mint is host, controlled from Win7.
Thanks for any help...

Has this package installed Vnc as a service? Take a look in /etc/rc.d/init.d (or the Mint equivalent) and see if there is a script for it.
Vnc in Linux can be used differently to Windwos, it's possible to share the current desktop, but you can also provide a login session over VNC, providing a private desktop only running on the VNC server. You can even have it provide a login screen on the VNC session if you like.Linux user #126863 - see http://linuxcounter.net/
