Desktop Effects Suspended. Need help
Newbie here.
I just installed Mint 12 KDE and was upgrading last night while futzing around with the effects during the upgrade. (I enabled "Falling Windows(?)" and "Wobbly Windows" among other things) After a bit, I was informed that "desktop effects were too slow and have been suspended." Reboot has little effect (it "crashes" shortly afterwards)
How do I fix this?

Hi,
You can remove compiz from the command line usingbut you will need to be more specific when you say it "crashes". Do you get a login screen, does the system reboot, panic, or just have screen garbage?Code:kwin --replace
